Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences — Amsterdam Talent Scholarship

The Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) aims to attract excellent students from around the world, therefore, it awards €4 thousand at the end of every academic year to successful non-EEA students who have been enrolled in one of the programs of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Eligible courses are Agriculture, Forestry and Fishery, Environmental Sciences, Natural sciences and others. Students submit their applications after the completion of a full year of studies before 31 December of each year.

The Wikimedia Research Fund provides support to individuals, groups, and organizations who have limited access to research funding and are proposing work that has a positive impact on their local communities. Requests may range from US$2 thousand to a maximum of US$50 thousand. The application submission deadline is 16 December 2022.

TU Delft offers the Justus & Louise Van Effen Excellence Scholarships to study at the Delft University of Technology. The scholarship offers €30 thousand per year to international applicants admitted to one of the 2-year regular MSc programs. The programs include sustainable energy, environmental engineering, water management, and many others. The application deadline is 01 December 2022.

The Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers (RGS-IBG) makes grants for geographical research, fieldwork, and teaching that include several awards with deadlines in November. The deadline is 23 November for the Ralph Brown Expedition Award; Thesiger-Oman International Research Fellowships; Hong Kong Research Grant; Walters Kundert Fellowship; Dudley Stamp Memorial Award; Postgraduate Research Awards; and Geographical Club Award.The deadline is 30 November for the Neville Shulman Challenge Award.

Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities — Environmental Arts Scholarship

Scottish Graduate School for Arts & Humanities EARTH Scholarship enables international research collaborations between PhD and early-career researchers and Scottish universities. The program aims to promote the role of environmental arts in addressing the climate emergency and their capacity for interdisciplinary research within STEAM contexts. The program will provide scholarships for researchers based outside the UK to come to Scotland to undertake in-person exchanges for up to 3 months in 2023. The deadline for full application is 7 November 2022.

Research Institute for Humanity and Nature — Visiting Research Fellow Program

The Research Institute for Humanity and Nature (RIHN) Visiting Research Fellow Program brings overseas researchers to the Institute for periods of two to six months to engage in research collaboration. Each visiting fellow must work with a RIHN host researcher who acts as the main point of contact with the Institute. Applicants must have a PhD and be employed in an overseas research institute. Travel, accommodation and daily expenses are covered by RIHN. The application deadline is 04 November 2022.

Amazon welcomes proposals related to climate risk/resilience, life cycle assessment and circular strategies. The overall goal is to inform business planning and resilience in order to make Amazon the most environmentally and socially responsible place to buy or sell goods and services. Selected partners may receive US$80 thousand in unrestricted funds. The application deadline is 19 October 2022.
